Yes, I'm still alive...
I feel like I have been so busy lately! All I do is work, sleep, and run errands. When I'm not doing one of those three things then all I really feel like doing is shopping or catching up with my shows. A lot has changed in the Luce household lately. I'm finally back on day shift, which makes my life much more livable. My schedule isn't different from the rest of the world which is very nice. We've also decorated our house for Christmas, the most wonderful time of the year. I'll post pictures later on that. Don't forget about me, I promise to start keeping up with my blog better! Hope everyone's holidays are going fabulous so far! A lot more blog posts to come very soon...

BOO!
Wednesday we had our halloween party which turned out to be a blast!! I ran around all day like a chicken with my head cut off trying to find the perfect halloween foods and treats. I was SO excited to have our first trick or treaters in our new house! I wanted to give them cupcakes but Chase and Austin informed me very quickly that it would be creepy and look suspicious for a grown teletubbie to be handing out cupcakes, so I stuck with the wrapped candy! Here are a few pics from our Halloween night!
These were supposed to be mummies but didn't turn out exactly as expected.
Who doesn't love a good drunken gummy worm?
If you look close enough - keeping our drink cold was ice hands!
kisses from my favorite trick or treater of all!
Hope y'all had a great halloween!

Fall Festive
I've really been loving the weather lately which has put me in a fall mood. Ainsley and I decided we needed to get our homes ready for fall, a tad late, but who cares. Monday we painted pumpkins, which I must say, is way more fun than carving them. No mess and no rotting pumpkins in a couple of weeks. We loaded up on pumpkins from the dreaded Walmart, headed over to Outback for a quick dinner minus my wine since I left my purse at home and the waiter wouldn't serve me and headed to our house to paint while our hubbies watched Monday night football.
This is what we started with...11 pumpkins of all different sizes!
And a couple of glasses of wine later, this is what we finished with...
A couple of Ainsley's pumpkins and our work area..
I decided to pile mine out on our front porch and love how it turned out! Our front porch looks so ready for fall now!
Happy FALL Y'ALL!

It's moments like these you'll cherish forever...
Had to share this sweet sweet picture. This is my nephew, Preston, and I walking the streets in Austin. Leeanne, my mom and I took a quick over night trip to visit Laura a couple of weeks ago. P was getting restless so we had to keep him entertained somehow. Leeanne snapped this on her phone while P and I were strolling. I love this little boy more than anything!
Have a good week, ya'll!

Act Your Age
Last weekend I got the opportunity to finally act like a college student again!! and it was amazing!! It has been so hard getting used to working on weekends and not being able to go out with my friends all the time. Chase and I took a much needed trip to Dallas. Although it wasn't Fort Worth, it sufficed. We were able to get purple and attempt to root for the frogs (didn't make it to the game due to the monsoon) and the frogs were able to pull off a victory in the pouring rain against SMU! A few pics from our weekend!
All the girls tailgating!
Like I said, we acted like college students
classy enough to drink wine at a bar
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

We had a little birthday celebration at Austin's moms house. It was so sweet of them to have us over for dinner to celebrate one of both mine and Chase's best friends birthdays! A few pics from this old guys birthday!

Facelift
Well the blog has finally gotten a facelift and I'm lovin it!! It has taken me so long to poke through this site and figure out all of this high tech mess (never thought I'd be saying that, I sound like my dad messing with his iPhone) I've had a couple moments when I wanted to throw the computer across the room but I've stood my ground and happily have a beautiful blog and a computer in one piece. yay! Hope ya'll like the new look!
Fall
September 22, 2012. The first day of Fall and I am SO excited. Fall is my favorite time of year. You can wear sweatshirts and nike shorts and be comfortable. Fall also marks my favorite holiday, Thanksgiving, which is also my birthday this year! Some reasons I love fall...
outfits like this:
Front porches like this:
Trees with these beautiful leaves:
You will find me around town in an outfit like this every day of the week unless I'm headed to or from work in that case I'll be rocking my favorite outfit of all, scrubs
Boots are my FAVORITE part of fall. I'm really wanting a new pair of nice boots but can't decide on which ones to go with. I've been sporting my favorite Steve Madden ones for far too long, I think it's finally time for an upgrade. The past couple of days that I have left work it has been chilly out - which has gotten me so excited for the colder weather. Happy Fall ya'll!!!

Bundles of Joy
As if this didn't make me feel old. How do you think seeing my oldest childhood friend with TWINS made me feel? I still really don't know if I believe it. I can remember Sam living across the street from me all of my childhood days. We spent most of our time in Nanny's (Sam's grandmother) utility room playing dolls and school. Now, some may say utility room screams child abuse, but no, this was no average utility room. It was huge, just big enough for all of our baby dolls and school supplies. Nanny was our principle and always punished our ill behaved children. We reminisced the old days while holding her baby girls. I used to walk across the street every Saturday morning in my pajamas and crawl into bed and watch cartoons with Nanny and Sam. Now those were the days, NO cares in the world, who walks around the neighborhood in their pajamas anyway?? Well Sam married about a year before Chase and I and was blessed with 2 baby girls about 2 months ago. How amazing is that?? Not only does it make me feel old that we are even allowed to have children but she has TWO children. TWO. I know she had them at the same time, so she kind of had no choice, but come on, if I had 2 kids right now I'd be a total basket case. I can tell Sam is the best mom ever though, she is SO laid back and would just hand off those sweet newborns to anyone. I really hope one day I can be a laid back momma just like her! Meet these precious bundles of joy...
Katrina and Charlotte
Mom decided she was better off with just one at a time
Thank you so much for letting me love on your sweet baby girls!

Half Anniversary
You know some people celebrate their half birthdays? Well, same concept. If you read below, we celebrated our half anniversary! One of our favorite restaurants in Fort Worth is Simply Fondue, so I decided to bring it to us. (Minus the appetizers and main course, for that we relied on Outback - fancy I know haha) I surprised Chase with a surplus of yummies that we could dip in our chocolate. It was so fun. And the first time we have used our fondue maker. It works like a CHARM. For those of you who like fondue, you should definitely go buy one. The chocolate was super easy to make. We started out with just good ol milk chocolate and once we had a few dips of that we spiced it up with reeses, making it peanut buttery chocolatey goodness. It's fair to say we were both STUFFED. I loved Chase's response to every bite he took, I really wish I had it on camera. He just laughed after every single bite because it was so delish. Fondue night was a huge success!
headed to dinner celebrating our 1/2 anniversary
our amazing set up! Chase suggested paper plates I didn't want to do dishes so we rounded up these fancy plates. Disclaimer** We did NOT finish all of these sweets. As much as Chase would have liked to, it was impossible.
First up, our favorite - a banana!

happy 1/2 a YEAR anniversary to my favorite hubby!
Yep, that's right! 1/2 a year. I celebrate it. Don't be confused by the title, no sister wives going on here but if I did have more than one hubs, he'd still be my favorite! We're celebrating with dinner out and dessert at home in our fondue maker! YAY! First time to use it, I'll let ya know how that turns out!! Can't wait to spend many more 1/2 years with you:)
